Job description:
Swiggy is conducting interviews for the position of Account Manager – Retail. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving restaurant onboarding, managing a portfolio of restaurant accounts, and exceeding sales targets. If you have a keen interest in the food and beverage industry and enjoy working with restaurants to mutually grow business, this role is perfect for you.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Drive restaurant onboarding for your designated area and act as a consultant to restaurant partners to manage and grow business.
- Manage a portfolio of restaurant accounts, ensuring account retention, development, and maintenance.
- Exceed sales targets and performance-based goals.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in the food and beverage industry, aiming to sign up the best local and national restaurants.
- Be the local market expert by gathering restaurant feedback, monitoring competitor activity, and providing improvement recommendations to management.
- Conduct cold calls and walk-ins, schedule in-person meetings, and sell the Dineout product portfolio to restaurants.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with at least 1 year of work experience in consulting, e-commerce, or start-ups are encouraged to apply.
- Flexibility is essential, as restaurant owners do not operate on 9-to-5 schedules.
- Outgoing and confident appearance.
- Self-motivated individuals with the ability to work remotely and under pressure are preferred.
- An ‘out-of-the-box’ thinker who enjoys challenging the status quo.
Working location and Mandate:
Under Mandate 3, employees are expected to work from the office on all days out of their respective base locations.
