Target is conducting an internship in Bangalore.

Job duties and responsibilities:

As a Comp Intel Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced product matching and audit specialists, and leaders and gain hands-on experience in building solutions to real-world problems. The role of the intern can provide you with the knowledge of retail business fundamentals, skills in problem-solving and resolution.

This program provides an opportunity to understand the Comp Intel business, identify gaps, build, and implement long-term solutions that can enhance the processes and improve operational performance. You will gain an understanding of Comp Intel Ops team to develop business acumen and learn to lead within the Comp Intel teams. You will work alongside a mentor and learn how they effectively lead their department and drive analysis or projects towards operational performance. Your development will be a top priority of ours, and to ensure you are feeling supported, you can expect ongoing developmental conversations. While you will lead and support solving a business problem by working beside your team members, your leadership will build the culture and guide you to grow and achieve the goal.

Your responsibilities will most likely include the following:

  • Gaining an understanding of the project scope on enhancing the mapping and audit guideline for Comp Intel Ops.
  • Working with mentor, lead the team in achieving the goal within specified timeline.
  • Conducting daily huddle, addressing team member concerns, and removing hurdles to ensure smooth goal attainment.
  • Providing regular/timely updates to leadership on the goal status, discuss challenges/risks, and devise mitigation plans.
  • Driving the project to closure by achieving the goal within the specified timeline.
  • Fostering an inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure culture.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Student in the final year of a two-year Postgraduate program. Preferably MBA in Business Analytics or Lean Operations
  • Demonstrates leadership, strong initiative, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills

Duration: Eight weeks from April 22nd to June 14th.
